I had a conversation with two long-time friends early this morning that can be summed up in one word: optionality.
We were talking about goals and meandered into the topic of travel. One of my friends is in the early stages of planning a month-long trip to Europe, while I’m heading over in April for a week with my wife. She’ll stay an additional week after meeting up with one of her girlfriends.
I began another conversation later in the day with another friend. It’s not about travel, per se, but rather a serendipitous contemplation of a journey. More on that later.
Which brings me back to optionality.
Even when I’m not considering other stuff, I like to remain open to the idea that previously unconsidered paths are not only options, but they’re often great options.
